Igniting Latin America’s financial future has been our goal for more than three years. Today, as we approach the end of 2021, we see that we have ignited the present by enabling a region to break down barriers and create opportunities through our technological infrastructure.
Ignite is also about growth, improvement, and progress. This year we grew as a team, as a company, and as a solution; and we are proud to share our achievements.
Building technology infrastructure roads through new API connections has been our goal, and this year we more than doubled our growth from 40 to 105 banking and tax API connections.

This growth has allowed us to increase our reach. An example of this is that we have achieved full coverage in Colombia and Chile, and Peru has now our batch transfer and account validation services available.

Expanding our reach has opened the doors to new clients and new markets, which generated a 500% increase in our API Calls.

We are excited to see how our growth allows us to be a solution to the market needs, and this is reflected in the number of companies that trust Prometeo is increasing. Today we close the year with a doubled number of clients.

All of our growth in terms of service, product, and company would not be possible if we had not been able to build a team that, in addition to enormous talent, is motivated daily to be an active part of building a more open and connected financial system. This year, our team grew more than 300%, we witnessed the consolidation of our team with the arrival of different professional profiles, from a wide variety of nationalities, to make each area of Prometeo the perfect gear to continue growing.

While we know the value of our team and their work, external recognition is always gratifying, this year we were recognized as:
- Best fintech infrastructure player Latin America, awarded by Wealth & Finance.
- Best Fintech As A Service, at the FintechU Latam Awards 2021
- Daniela Decoud, our Head of Product, won the Rising Star category in Women that build, at the Globant Awards.
Additionally, apart from focusing our efforts on igniting the region’s technological infrastructure, we did not hesitate to bet on initiatives that bring Open Banking closer to different startup profiles; that is why we shaped Spark, the first program that gave startups free access to our APIs infrastructure, benefiting more than 118 early-stage startups throughout Latin America. But we also wanted to strengthen our ties with other communities, which is why we held Ignite, the first Open Banking hackathon in Latin America. Here we not only promoted the development of technological solutions but also the exchange of ideas and experiences around this trend so that people from all over the world could approach it from their practical experience. We have the honor to receive more than 198 participants from 19 countries.

We are proud to share the growth we experienced in 2021, and from now on we are directing all our efforts to continue igniting the financial future, to continue taking on many more challenges and projects, and to continue positioning ourselves as the largest Open Banking platform in Latin America in 2022.
